This is interesting: A shocking new study found that even . women. who hit the gym every day can die young -- if they spend too much time on their backsides.

Why are women more likely to rush into an elevator before letting other passengers out?
Q. Many women seem ready to rush in the moment an elevator (lift) door opens without even considering that somebody might be trying to get out? I can understand it happening once or twice in a woman's life, but you would think that after several times, women would understand the courtesies of elevatorhood. What am I missing here?

A. depends on the woman, some have the haughty attitude that the world works around them. others aren't paying attention and have their minds on other things "I really need to get to [insert store] before they close", etc. You forgot to mention the ones who don't rush into the lift, but block any exit paths. but then you have the ones who DON'T rush into the lift as soon as the doors open, like my wife and others. they wait not only for everyone to get off the lift, but then let others on before them. it bugs me because we have missed a couple of elevators simply because too many people rushed on and there was no room for us.
