Q. If you said, culturally responsive means reflecting and contemplating on the kinds of behavior you judge to be? "Culturally responsive means reflecting and contemplating on the kinds of behavior you judge to be problematic and considering how they might be related to race or ethnicity". Does that mean you would expect to see different behaviors from different races? If so, give some examples.

What does it means when your child is referred to as tactile?
Q. My son's teacher has mentioned this a few times and I don't fully understand what she means. Can someone please explain in regular layman's language?
Asked by joy - Fri Nov 2 01:02:21 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Hey Joy! Educators have learned that everyone learns in different ways, and that they should be taught according to the best way that they learn. Visual learners, for example, learn best by seeing, such as show and tell. Whereas auditory learners learn best by hearing, for example, though lectures. Your son is apparently a tactile learner. Tactile learners like him, learn best by doing, touch and movement, such as playing, drawing, making things, experiencing sensations, etc.

What is the cheapest means of shipping a box of shoes via the USPS?
Q. Sorry, I'm a bit new to shipping items that I've sold on EBAY. Can anyone with experience sending items via the USPS tell me the advisable means of sending a small shoe box? I want to send the package in a plastic wrap and not in a box. What is the cheapest rate and what is the USPS terminology? Thanks so much for the tips.
Asked by Yuba City Honker - Tue Jun 2 20:58:46 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. FIrst off, do not send the shoes without a box of some sort. Your buyer is expecting a certain level of care to be provided in your packaging. Second, when you listed the shoes, what USPS shipping method did you say you were going to use. It is very important that you follow through with what you listed. If you stated USPS Priority Mail, then that is what you need to use. In fact, USPS will provide to you, at no charge, a Priority Mail box that was designed for shipping shoes. Depending on how far the shipping is, the cost for 2 pounds would be between $4.95 & $8.70. You can get a discount on the postage if you print the shipping label online through Paypal or at usps.com. Also, you will absolutely want to use Delivery Confirmation.… [cont.]

Asked by Julietta - Wed Dec 23 00:31:19 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The Mean is just the average. Add the values and divide by the number of values. I'm assuming you can do that part. Average = 66.2 The Standard Dev. is a formula. A sum of the squares of the differences of each value less the average, divided by one less than the total number of samples you have. = ( x - a ) / ( n - 1 ) x --- sample value a --- average (66.2 in this case) n --- total number of samples (9 in this case) = ( x - a ) / ( n - 1 ) = [(65.6 - 66.2) + (66 - 66.2) + (66.4 - 66.2) + (66.4 - 66.2) + (64.4 - 66.2) + (65.4 - 66.2) + (68 - 66.2) + (69.2 - 66.2) + (64.8 - 66.2) ] / 8 = 1.52

A. If it is a small town they should drive around and look for signs, ask friends, ask bankers and insurance agents. If they are looking for an apartment in a very small town, I would simply visit every apartment in the phone book personally.

In Toronto Can. at least 60% of the downtown traffic is from out of town. both delivery vehicles , and employees who would rather drive than take public transit from a-b. A. The first step in any Christian conversion is rejecting your former way of life. There is multiple symbolism in the immersion and coming forth from the water. John the Baptist used it to call for returning to the faithfulness to God from the legendary times when the Jordan River was crossed and the promised land entered. Christians believe that conversion is like a death and rebirth. The water can be seen as a drowning death or the placental waters of your second birth. The symbolism of washing away sins is popular, but it misses the full point. The death and Resurrection of Jesus is the central event in the Christian Faith and you have entered into the salvation purchased by the death and Resurrection. For Catholics this is the… [cont.]

Asked by wrso - Wed Feb 6 23:56:47 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. When you "flare" or "round out", you pitch the nose up slightly as you close the throttle in order to reduce your speed and rate of descent just prior to touchdown. The amount of pitch-up required primarily depends upon your airspeed and rate of descent, and it is usually only a few degrees. The slower the plane becomes, the more you have to pitch up. It is a smooth process and not hurried unless you misjudge and flare too late. In general, a 5 degree pitch up from level on the artificial horizon (attitude Indicator) would be about a maximum flare over a period of about 5 seconds. Doing it visually, without looking at the instruments, about the right amount of flare in a plane like a Cessna is when the top of the engine cowling appears to… [cont.]

A. "Ambidexterity is the state of being equally adept in the use of both right and left appendages." That is the definition I found on wikipedia. Since the feet and/or legs are also appendages, they would be included in this definition. The page contains a lot of information about having equally adept hands as well as two dominant feet. Hope that helped!
