Q. dear sir, recived an email frome barrister artha hamzah on 25/1/2007 to sey that ihave won E.A.A.S Lottery Headquarters,Euro - Afro Asia Sweepstakes Lottery Inc. the sender has asked me to pay 875$ in to an accountin jakarta indonesia befor i can recive my cheque since this lottery is about the user of internet frome all searche engines including yahoo,culd you kindly let me know by email if this couyld be autentic? a copy off all correspondents between this company and me is attached for your convenience i wonder if u could take legal action against the person in the question whose address and telephone number is included in the emails . if u com to the conclusion that this is deceptino .

A. You can forward such email to spam@uce.gov It does help. Spammers resist, which lets me know it helps more than we know. Spam to my email went down after I started forwarding it all to spam@uce.gov I have set up a filter to collect all the mail I WANT into a "keep" folder. I read that email first, since it's from addresses on my list. You will still need to look at your inbox because there'll always be a chance someone you want to get email from is not on your list. I wouldn't bother setting up a second filter to keep out bad email, because that would be a third folder you would need to check because it will sometimes catch your friends' emails. Yahoo lets you right click on email messages and identify them as spam. I've never known of… [cont.]

Q. i'm trying to give a presentation on the basic aspects of hinduism and i want to talk about the hindu: - why hindu is more of a way of life than an individual - gods (like the prominent figures and the story/explanation behind incarnations) - 4 chief aims (kama, dharma, artha, and moksha), - role of reincarnation in the religion - and how hinduism is a "religion of the individual" i did some research on those topics but i want to hear about them (possibly more detailed) from hindus and hindu experts. any information is appreciates. thanks

A. I'm no expert, but I am a Hindu. So I'll give it a try.. Why being Hindu is more of a way of life.. A person can have read a total of no religious texts, and still lead a life as a good Hindu, given that they are raised correctly by their parents. I haven't read very many myself, but I know the things that go into being a good Hindu. This is because all the tenets of Hindu dharma as focused towards being a good human being. Things like respect towards elders, avoiding violence unless necessary, respect of all living things, these are all human values.
